Mike Roark
Hi, My name is Mike Roark, Sorry for taking so long to fix this
site. I have coached at High School and Collge. Where I am at next year is a good question. The best thing I did for my family was move back to Virginia. As I am typing this I just realized I have
been involved with Football since 1968. Dang! That is a long time
ago! The scary thing is if I had to do it over, not even a question. Before I get started I do want to say this little
sentimental piece. First I just want to say how lucky I am. I have to thank to my wife
Jennifer because, as we all know, it takes a special woman to put up
with a coach. Plus, she has given me a beautiful daughter, Jacy Elizabeth. With Jennifer I am a very lucky man. Next; we are the
way we are because of the coaches who have influenced our lives,
either as a player or as an assistant coach. I strongly believe that
this can happen anytime in our careers. So for the record I just want
to say thanks to My High School Coach,
Dennis Moody back in our Gretna days,
Steve Sutton, Head Coach at West Hills High School and to Ken Visser, Head Coach
at Chapman University. These 3 men have impacted my life in
more ways than they will ever know and I just want to say
Thanks! So, in closing, remember. Life is easy. 1. God 2. Family 3. Education 4.
Passion
(Back to Football)
I have been coaching high school and
college for a long time and I have always had my nose somewhere on
the defensive side. Defensive coaches are a unique breed, We truly
believe that you can be a lesser athlete but with more heart, desire,
love to hit, and you play with 11, not 1, you will find a way to
win!
